Yeah- we were all over the place this week…

Wednesday night at Hamburger Mary’s was loads of fun but the only thing that really stuck out was an amazing birthday cake…

Right? It was done by Cake And Art in West Hollywood and frankly it’s amazing. We kept looking at it and thinking it looked like someone familiar and then it came to us…

You know who this is? It’s Estelle! Joey’s agent from “Friends”! I never did ask the birthday girl if that is who it was supposed to be because maybe it’s her mother and I did not want to offend! Joey! It’s Estelle!

Continuing on. Deven and I did our first night of our three night stint at Americana At Brand. All I can say is wow. So many people! So much grass! Such a long line to get in!

It was a gorgeous night and I believe everyone had a great time. Here is a shot of Deven that makes it look like what we do is very important and serious-

Deven was so serious that she even brought along her very own “Bag Of Crap”!

I reached inside but there was something squishy in there so I pulled my hand out fast.

At one point I found a boy I will call “Bingo Boy Junior” in the crowd.

Such a lovely family! Soon I will enroll BB Jr. in a prestigious Bingo Camp where he can learn all about callbacks and how to deal with drunk people throwing things at each other. His future is bright.

On Friday, much to our dismay, Roxy and I drove to lovely Irvine California (that’s in Orange County!). A really fun event for The Irvine Company but the drive was brutal. We were told to dress “Retro Beach” so we sort of did.

It’s not every day that I will show people my very white hairy legs. And for good reason- it’s blinding.

The party was going well but then Roxy ate some mysterious meat and grew to over 50 feet tall! She then tried to attack the building and insisted on validation for her parking ticket!

The Irvine Company was not amused. And either was I. I made the mistake of chastising Roxy and she threw me out of the window and we were up 21 floors!

See how I made the picture look like an old Hitchcock film? That’s called “filters.”

On the same night that Deven and I were at Americana At Brand, Joel (Deven’s husband) and Roxy were at Grand Central Market but they did not take any photos that we could use. The few pornographic ones that they texted are not appropriate for young eyes.

This week I also had lunch with my old friend Alison Arngrim who played “Mean Nellie Oleson” on “Little House On The Prairie.” She works with several charities and wanted to discuss doing a little fundraising for them. After lunch we wandered next door to The Lincoln Store so I could show her “Drag Queen Bingo: The Home Game” displayed on their shelves.

So cool! The woman working in the store said they have a hard time keeping the game on the shelf! Coming soon to Amazon dot com!

Being with Alison reminded me of all of the unusual people that I have become friends with over the many, many years that I have been alive- seriously it’s like I am Forrest Gump or something. I found this photo online and it brought back memories. Take a look-

That’s Angelyne “The Billboard Queen” with German punk singer Nina Hagen. And guess what- I introduced them! True story. I was working as a bartender during the day and Nina came in and we got to talking and somehow the subject of Angelyne came up and she said she loved her and I said do you want to meet her and she said yes and I called Angelyne who came down and they met and then Nina asked Angelyne to sing a song with her at her LA concert! And then….(still a true story) after the concert there was an after party and my friend and I saw Cassandra Peterson aka Elvira at the bar and started talking to her and then we did shots (and perhaps some drugs) and I introduced Cassandra to Angelyne and Nina and now they are all friends! And then stupid dj Rodney Bingenheimer pushed me back in to a plate of potato latkes so I wouldn’t be in the photo with all of them so I still hate him to this day even though it was in the ’80’s when all of this happened.

The End.

BUT WAIT! EXCITING NEWS!

I almost forgot! This Wednesday 9 pm show we have a very special guest!

It’s the beautiful and talented MELORA HARDIN! You may recognize her as Tammy on “Transparent” (she’s nominated for an Emmy this year!) or from “The Office” or from “Monk” or from the local supermarket! But she will be with us this Wednesday night!

AMERICANA AT BRAND- SOLD OUT?
