Love Is In The Air!

It’s Valentine’s Week (because I said so) and therefore we are all required to spend the entire week just loving things and people and places. Is it a deal?

We all know I love bingo- bingo has been berry berry good to me. But there are so many other things that I love including several Australian television shows.

Which is why last Wednesday night I was so excited by a very large party of Australians who came to bingo to celebrate a birthday.

Here is Ben- it was his birthday—

Ben was a big strapping guy with big strapping friends. I gave a shout out from the stage to the group by telling them how much I loved the Australian tv show set in a women’s prison called “Wentworth.” Honestly, it’s even better than “Orange Is The New Black” and that’s saying something. I kept on harping about it and they were all yelling what I thought was “it’s not Australian! It’s not Australian!” So I started yelling back- “yes it is! It most certainly is!” And also recited a few more Australian shows that I love and then I finally heard what they were shouting. They were shouting “We’re not Australian!”

Yes folks, they were British. And I was a shouting fool. And I don’t watch “Downton Abbey” so I quickly made the situation better by saying “I love Doctor Who!” Alas, I think it was too late. Damn British and their Australian accents…

I also love family. And there are so many different types of families as we all know. There is one such family that hangs out at the Equestrian Center and every time I see them I just smile…

That’s right. Two moms and their pony and dog show. They always seem so happy and content. Can I have your family please?

Roxy and I did an early Valentine’s Party in Newport Coast which is an exclusive enclave (I really wanted to say enclave) of Newport Beach. A lovely woman had about 15 of her girlfriends over for lunch and then surprised them with drag queen bingo held in their lower floor media room (home theater- amazing). When they came down the elevator (yes, that’s what I said), here is what they discovered-

I know. And then there was champagne ( top drawer) and of course Roxy and myself.

The winners of each game was able to choose a bag from the prize table-

In case you can’t see them all they included loot from Tiffany, Gucci, Prada, Valentino, Sacks and Dior.

And yes, Roxy tried to stuff four of the bags down her top but as you can see there was not much room and we had to settle for a few cupcakes and a thank you.

Please join us this Wednesday night for our Annual Valentine’s Show- we promise lots of love and champagne but don’t expect gifts from Dior and Sacks. More like paper sacks and if you don’t like it we’ll show you the door. I know that was a stretch but please love it anyway!

HAPPY VALENTINE’S DAY TO YOU AND YOURS!
