And Then What Happened?

So many things this week! Let’s take a little journey to the past (just this last week) and see what happened at Legendary Bingo!

First of all, Laura San Giacomo from “Pretty Woman” and “Just Shoot Me” stopped by and became one of our favorite ballcallers to ever grace our stage-

In this shot you can see that Calpernia and I are trying to squish Ms. San Giacomo’s head between ours to see if any of her celebrity spills on to us. We were successful and now we are super famous.

I gave Laura a copy of “Drag Queen Bingo: The Home Game” which she proudly displays here. I am fantasizing that she will play the game with Wendie Malick and Julia Roberts and that she wins.

And now some random photos of bingo winners just because I am fervent about spreading joy in these trying times…

He won tickets to a screening of “Absolutely Fabulous: The Movie” and looks like he is in the cast of “Entourage.”

Antonio and Roger don’t even know each other but are united in the glow of victory.

For all I know she could have won a purple bucket of crap but that really doesn’t matter, does it? Because she won, that’s why.

Now on to Sunday night. So much happened including a giant power outage which answered the age old question- can you play drag queen bingo in the dark?

The answer is yes. We did one full game in the dark with Roxy and I yelling the numbers and people getting very creative with the flashlights on their cellphones. The entire block was out for about fifteen minutes but we said “screw you Con Ed! We’re gonna keep playing!” And we did.

At one point, RuPaul’s Drag Race superstar Alaska Thunderf*ck stopped by and I convinced her to present one of the prize packages which coincidentally happened to be…..” A Taste Of Alaska” I kid you not.

Here she presents the basket to winner Lenore and give her a kiss. Very sweet.

And then I saw this photo-

I just want to know two things. Why am I so serious and what the hell is Alaska looking at? She must have liked it because she asked if I was married and then winked at me while licking her lips. Look for our wedding announcement coming soon to your inbox.

Remember Lenore? The one who received the “Alaska” prize? Well, later in the evening she called a false bingo. This led to one of my all time favorite moments in Legendary Bingo.

Here is Lenore about to get paddled by Roxy and the lovely woman at the table behind her reached out to grab her hand for support. Can we just please live in a world where this happens on a regular basis?
