Wait — You Have Bingo Too?

On Sunday (at least I think it was Sunday) we had a visit from Heidi Hamilton- one of my favorite people. She has the morning drive show on KLOS- “The Frostie, Heidi and Frank Show” and also a show on Dish Nation.

Anyway, she and I love each other so she tried to kiss me.

So then I tried to kiss her.

Well, jeez. Finally we got it together and kissed each other.

Yes, that’s how we kiss.

On Tuesday night, Ingenue and I went over to Kings Road for their “National Night Out” block party even though it was 100 degrees and 100% humidity. Still it was fun.

WeHo Mayor John Heilman and a big, fancy police captain were there.

And the fire department was there.

Many jokes about sliding down poles here.

A few West Hollywood Cheerleaders were there.

And a very cute dog was there.

That’s about all I remember. We drank a lot of water. It was very hot.

On Friday night, Roxy and I headed out to the luxurious Glendale Embassy Suites (it is actually is a gorgeous hotel) for the annual “General Hospital Fan Weekend.” We were one of the “attractions” and who could resist Drag Queen Bingo with The Quartermaines! If you have never watched General Hospital then you have no idea who they are but trust me, they are one of soap’s oldest and most powerful families.

Our event sold out (the most popular event for the entire weekend I was told!) and it was a blast. In college I loved watching General Hospital in the college break room (Luke and Laura on a deserted island with a mad man!) so seeing Leslie Charleston (she plays Monica Quartermaine) was for me, like meeting Susan Lucci.

That’s Leslie next to me and she is hilarious and not at all a bitch like her character. On the left is Chad Duell who plays Michael Quartermaine, then Wally Kurth who plays Ned Ashton (he is also on One Life To Live) and then Roxy Wood who plays the hot black girl who breaks up the entire family and then me, Leslie and finally Robert Palmer Watkins who plays Dillon Quartermaine.

Here is something that will never be seen again. The Quartermaine family playing bingo and plotting to take over the WORLD!

…or maybe just passing the time until they were called up to call our balls.

Little did I know that Ingenue (our newest bingo hostess) is a HUGE fan of GH so I had the boys take a photo and I sent it to her.

I love when you can find the perfect gift for someone and this was it! She was thrilled and has now written herself in to the storyline. Something about a hot blonde chick having a threeway with two Quartermaines. I can only guess which two.

Finally, I ran in to a couple of our fans who said that they actually read this newsletter each week so I told them I would put them in. And here they are!

Just like soap opera actors, we take care of our fans.
