Just To Catch You Up…

Last week we were all over the place. And I don’t mean emotionally.

On Tuesday night we were at Grand Central Market and were accosted by a Swedish YouTube group (that is the first time I have ever used all of those words next to each other). They said they were shooting for their channel and wanted to play bingo. Personally I thought they were obnoxious but here they are with Roxy anyway.

I don’t understand when people become “YouTube  sensations” just by being well….stupid. But they seemed to have a good time so if you ever see us on a Swedish YouTube show make sure and bookmark it so that we can see whatever it is that they filmed.

On Wednesday we had a bunch of special guests and bingo hostess Willam Belli decided that he didn’t want to do the old “smile for the camera” thing. Instead…

He did this-

But finally Willam calmed down when he saw one of his idols in the crowd.

Do you recognize the woman in red? Hint: she was in a 1992 film that became a cult sensation. Hint: The film starred Geena Davis. Hint: The film also starred Madonna. And Tom Hanks. Hint: “There is no crying in baseball!” Okay that’s enough hints.

It’s Marla Hooch from “A League of Their Own”! Her real name is Megan Cavanagh but she is so famous for that role! I think I will watch that film tonight! On Amazon! Wait, I will be right back- I have to put it in my queue.

Okay I am back. I will let you know how it is.

Anyway, on Saturday night I did an event in a church in Pasadena and when I showed up, this was hanging on the podium on the stage.

What the??? I love these gals and they were so nice but had they never even seen a real bingo card before? “I-10”? And only three columns across? Let’s just say I thought them all what a bingo cards really looks like and it was a fun event.

Speaking of fun events, if I ever need to clean my (bingo) balls…

One more thing- my father is in physical rehab and I broke him out for Father’s Day. They gave me a “travel” wheelchair for the trip and it was not till I returned him that I saw this on the back of the chair-

Seems a little specific to me but who am I to say.
