Oh My Gosh!

Apropos of nothing…

I am working on a possible television show deal with World Of Wonder (They produce RuPaul’s Drag Race- I know!) and was in a meeting at their offices when I noticed their “Wall of Emmys” and I politely asked if I could take a photo and they politely said yes!

So here it is-

There are some other awards there too but the Emmys are the shiniest.

Anyway, this month Roxy and I are doing a whirlwind tour of college campuses (we already did UC Santa Barbara last month) and our first stop was CSU San Marcos on Friday night. Yes, we had to drive to San Marcos (near San Diego) on a Friday night. Luckily Roxy is a sparkling conversationalist and I am a very good driver. Three hours each way (including getting lost on the way home and ending up in Riverside somehow).

We pulled up at the campus, which is modern and very beautiful and clean.

Well maybe not this part. We were in a loading dock after all.

We were met by the….welcoming….people. You know, people that welcomed us.

The person in the wig you don’t recognize is Roxy. That’s what she looks like without her boobs exposed! Oh, and the other one is Abrahan who was our coordinator and decided to exposed his hairy legs for us. Our welcomers were very nice and took us up to our “green room” without once getting lost!

Our green room was actually green! The furniture, the walls- all green! Very nice though and they brought us burgers and fries for our dinner. Delicious and not healthy at all. But we ate every bite.

This is a completely candid photo of Roxy getting ready for the event. She had no idea I was taking the picture. Oh, who am I kidding- she always knows.

In addition to the Welcomers, there were also the “Snack Table Girls.” We had no snacks since we were very full from the burgers and fries.

The event went very well but by the end of bingo, it was chaos. Kids tackling each other, pillow fights, prank phone calls, toilet papering….general roughhousing. Made me miss college.
