Who are The Go-Go’s?
People actually asked me that on Wednesday night. So distressing. Have we already aged out of The Go-Go’s? Is this possible? I remember going to a Go-Go’s concert a few years back in OC looking around to see everyone from 7 to 70 in the audience singing all of the lyrics to the songs. I thought- this is awesome! This band transcends time!
But when Belinda Carlisle came to bingo on Wednesday night, there were actually quite a few folks who did not know who she was or even who The Go-Go’s were.
Belinda came to bingo with her son James and they had a great time. Right after this photo was taken she spilled her entire glass of ice water on her lap and just laughed and said “that actually feels really good!”
I don’t know why it bothers me so much that some people don’t know certain things- like who The Go-Go’s are or even The Beatles (it has happened). I guess I just want everyone to know everything because it is cool to have a handle on our history- music, politics, people, films etc.

This was from our “Teacher Appreciation Bingo Party” at Sherman Oaks Elementary. Just love the way the teacher is eyeing Roxy’s….assets. Let’s pretend Roxy is a student. Here is the dialogue:
Teacher- Girl, you are NOT gonna wear those things all out like that in MY class- no sir, no way.
Roxy- I just got them- so yes the hell I am.
And then Roxy was sent to the principal.
Look at these! Our Bingo Friend Ashley is on the right and those are pantyhose! That is just a pattern- not garters! Then I ran in to the girl on the left and she had garters- not a pattern! And then I asked the two of them to stand together and that is the behind the scenes story of how this photo came to be! Taken at Hamburger Mary’s.
Can you guess where this photo was taken? It says it on the wall! I just thought these people were pretty awesome that they could play all of these cards at the same time and still drink. None of them won, which must have been upsetting after all of that work- but hey, it was all for charity, right?
This is just a photo of my horse Buddy-boy getting up from a roll in the dirt. I just thought it was pretty “Wild, Wild World of Animals.”

Wasn’t that fun? Look how much you learned. Now come to bingo and support our charities (great prizes this Wednesday night BTW) and then you will be the best person on earth! Willam is back so you might get yelled at but that doesn’t make you any less of a person.
